Cuban Heels - Sweet and Lowdown (2003)

front image

Hopefully you all enjoyed your diners, parties and such..., anyway, let's get on with it. Here's 'Sweet & Lowdown', the first release by Cuban Heels, and its sounds like it's risen straight out the swamps of ... Twente.

They blend their Garage Blues with a raw soul power in the vein of the great soul and gospel shouters. Influences range from blues greats such as Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf and Little Walter, through soul legends as Otis Redding and Ray Charles to garage rockers as The Stooges and The Sonics. You're right,
I tought they had released an album entitled 'Work our way to heaven', but that's an album by 'THE Cuban Heels'(...80's Britrock band).
Anyway, Thx for the correction...and for sharing this of course.
